Metropolitan Commercial Bank is upgrading its online and mobile business banking apps. The upgrades will:

  • Introduce Treasury Management, a streamlined and enhanced cash management platform
  • Change the look and user controls of Business Online Banking available on desktop computers and tablets
  • Change the look and user controls of Business Online Banking available on mobile devices using Apple iOS and Google Android operating systems
  • Impact clients that have connected any of their Metropolitan Commercial Bank accounts with QuickBooks and Quicken.

Since Metropolitan Commercial Bank first introduced Business Online Banking (BOB) and our first banking apps, we have been listening to clients, learning from the ever-evolving banking and fintech landscape and working to bring clients the tools they need to run their business.

This April, we will launch our updated digital business platforms. A suite of business management and information tools enhanced with an e-banking and business services portal that leverages modular services, data transformation, and multiple delivery and access channels to create a highly flexible platform.

This Guide will help you understand and plan for the transition.

Key Transition Dates Affecting Banking Activities

Metropolitan Commercial Bank’s current Business Online Banking platform and Mobile Business Banking apps will no longer be available beginning Friday, April 9, 2021 at 6:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).

Online and Mobile Access and Tokens

Logins to online and mobile banking and token apps will all change. Please refer to Accessing Treasury Online, Mobile Treasury and Treasury Tokens section of this Treasury Management Transition Guide.

Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 5:00 pm EDT Last Day to access Bill Pay (previously established bill payment recipients and schedules will remain for each user)

Friday, April 9, 2021 at 4:00 pm EDT Last Mobile Deposit on the current Business Banking mobile app.

Friday, April 9, 2021 Last Processing Date on the current Business Online Banking app

Friday, April 9, 2021 Last Settlement/Effective Date for Wires and internal transfers

Monday, April 12, 2021 Last Settlement/Effective Date for ACH transactions originated from the current Online Banking site. Any ACH originations with a settlement date of beyond 4/12 must be done in the new Treasury Management platform

End-User Action Items

Before Treasury Management Upgrade on April 12, 2021

  • All transaction history, ACH and Wire templates and payee information for the end-users will carry over to the new system.
  • Stop payment orders will be in effect until their expiration date. However, they will not display in online and mobile Treasury Management.
  • QuickBooks and Quicken user’s 1st Action Date: April 9, 2021 Even though we are migrating the transaction history, it is recommended that a data file backup and a transaction download be completed. Please make sure to complete the final download before this date.

The following will not carry over:

  • Recurring and scheduled payments for internal transfers, ACH, and Wires. Users will want to take notes of the current recurring and scheduled payments in Business Online Banking.
  • Any templates created using the “new using existing” method will not carry over.
  • Historical ACH and Wires file activities will not be transferred.
  • Users will want to take notes of the stop payments in Business Online Banking.
  • For Self-serve administrators – Please take note of any changes done from March 20, 2021 to April 9, 2021 on Business Online for Users/ Accounts/ Entitlements changes will not carry over.

After Treasury Management Upgrade on April 12, 2021

  • Users will want to consider checking that all account details, access levels and any preferences that were transferred over are accurate, including all ACH/Wire Payees.
  • Users will want to set up scheduled payments and transfers in the new system.
  • Users will want to set up Alerts and Subscriptions in the new system
  • 18 months of transaction history will be available.
  • Three months of transaction history will have a running balance.
  • User can access Monthly Account Statement to view other monthly balances.
  • Existing e-statement users will need to re-enroll.
  • QuickBooks and Quicken user’s 2nd Action Date- April 12, 2021. Please see QuickBooks and Quicken Users section in this Guide.
  • For Self-serve administrators – Please apply any changes executed from March 20, 2021, to April 9, 2021, on Business Online for Users/ Accounts/ Entitlements to the new system.

Accessing Treasury Online, Mobile Treasury and Treasury Tokens

Treasury Online Login

  1. GO TO MCBankNY.com
  2. CLICK Login in the upper right
  3. SELECT Treasury Online to go to Treasury Online Login
  4. SELECT “Forgot password for New and Migrating Users” if you haven’t logged in previously. A confirmation email/text will be sent with a temporary password.

Login in Credentials

  1. Company ID: KEY IN Unique company ID assigned to each business will be emailed
  2. User: KEY IN Username (Will remain the same)
  3. Password: KEY IN new password/temporary password received from the FORGOT PASSWORD request
  4. Change password when prompted.

Mobile Treasury

  • Our new mobile app needs to be downloaded directly through the App Store or the Google Play Store.
  • A new user registration is required using an Activation Key that will be emailed separately to each user before conversion and expires after 60 days from issuance.
  • Create a secure PIN that is unique to the device and app.

Treasury Token

  • Old tokens will not work on the new system and can be discarded.
  • Current token users need to download the mobile token app directly through the App Store or the Google Play Store.
  • A new user registration is required using an Activation Key that will be emailed separately to each user before conversion and expires after 60 days from issuance.
  • Create a secure PIN that is unique to the device and app.

Treasury Secure Browser

  • Our Secure Browser provides an easy and more secure way of accessing Treasury Management.
  • You may download the Secure Browser app on your desktop from the Login page of Treasury Management or using this link https://treasury.mcbankny.com/msb/download/metropolitan_browser64.exe
  • A new user registration is required using an Activation Key that will be emailed separately to each user before conversion and expires after 60 days from issuance.
  • Create a secure PIN that is unique to the device and app.
  • A user with multiple logins (such as FBO) will need to use Secure Browser to process payments.

Will the customer ID that I use to login change?

  • Your Username will remain the same but re-labeled User ID
  • You will need to create a new password
  • A NEW Company ID will be required. This will be provided via email before the Live Date of April 12, 2021.

What will my password be when I login to the new online banking system?

Users will be required to create a new password.

I have the Metropolitan Commercial Bank online banking site saved as a favorite. Will that still work?

No. You will need to utilize the new URL – https://treasury.mcbankny.com or preferably, please refer to Accessing Treasury Online, Treasury Mobile / Treasury Tokens section.

How will the upgrade benefit me?

Our new Treasury Management platform provides enhanced flexibility, information reporting, and security.

How long will the upgrade take?

Access to the current Online Banking site and Mobile Banking app will not be available starting at 6:00 pm EST Friday, April 9, 2021.

Access to the new Treasury Management platform will begin Monday, April 12, 2021, at 6:00 am EST.

Metropolitan Commercial Bank’s eBanking Support Team will be available starting Monday, April 12, 2021, at 8:00 am EST.

Do I need to do anything ahead of time to prepare?

  • Follow all the steps included in this Guide
  • Be on the lookout for additional communications
  • Be sure this and all information is shared with all Metropolitan Commercial Bank Online Banking users
  • Attend at least one Metropolitan Commercial Bank guided training sessions

What are the new password requirements?

New passwords:

  • MUST contain at least 10 characters
  • MUST contain at least one uppercase letter
  • MUST contain at least one lowercase letter
  • MUST contain at least one number
  • MUST contain at least one special character

Will I need to reestablish transfers, transaction alerts, etc.?

Yes, please refer to the End User Section of this Fact Sheet.

Will I need to recreate my bill pay?

Bill pay will not be changing. All current information will remain.

Do I need to sign up for E-Statements again?

Yes, E-Statements enrollment is required and must be done within next two (2) months from April 12, 2021. If after two months the account has not yet been re-enrolled to e-statement, the account will be turned into Paper Statement.

If I change my password on Mobile Banking, will it automatically switch to the same password for Treasury Online?

No.

Do I have to sign up for Treasury Online to have the ability to use Mobile Banking?

Yes.

Quickbooks and Quicken Users

As Metropolitan Commercial Bank completes its Treasury Management Transition,
you will need to modify your Quickbooks or Quicken settings to ensure that your
data connectivity transfers smoothly to the new system.

  • QuickBooks and Quicken user’s 1st Action Date April 9, 2021
  • Even though we are migrating the transaction history, it is recommended that a data file backup and a transaction download be completed. Please make sure to complete the final download before April 9, 2021.
  • QuickBooks and Quicken user’s 2nd Action Date April 12, 2021.
  • Please complete the deactivate/reactivate of your online banking connection to ensure that you get your current Quicken or QuickBooks accounts set up with the new connection (for Treasury Management).
  • Conversion instructions for Quicken and QuickBooks are contained in the downloadable documents below.
  • Intuit aggregation services may be interrupted for up to 3-5 business days. Users are encouraged to download a QFX/QBO file during this outage. The following services may not work during the outage:
    • Quicken Win/Mac Express Web Connect
    • QuickBooks Online Express Web Connect
  • Please carefully review your downloaded transactions after completing the migration instructions to ensure no transactions were duplicated or missed on the register
