BSA/AML Compliance Analyst

Essential Functions

  • Conduct investigations of potentially suspicious transactions and activity related to alerts or assigned cases from the Bank’s transaction monitoring system.  Candidate must be able to interact with lines of business to resolve issues as appropriate and determine whether the activity is deemed suspicious or can be close.
  • Monitor and reports on Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and cash sales of monetary instruments.  Coordinates filing of all Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
  • Assist with monitoring of the Bank's overall compliance with the BSA Program including monitoring and investigating OFAC concerns.
  • Assist in preparation of reports to keep management informed of the Compliance Department's activities and status of suspicious activity investigations.
  • Keep informed of laws, regulations, and current practices pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
  • Assist in the coordination of regulatory examinations and provide documentation to examiners as necessary

Required Education, Skills, Experience

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 2 years AML Compliance
  • Strong communication, and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with others at all levels across the Bank
  • Ability to quickly assimilate information relating to complex issues, maintain poise, diplomacy, and the ability to use discretion when making decisions, be creative and innovative in problem solving, and exercise good judgment.

Chief Lending Officer

Essential Functions

  • Improve the efficiency of Loan production from prospect through closing
  • Work in collaboration with the CRO, analyst and credit administration
  • Directly manage staffing needs within Credit Risk and loan administration
  • Assists in managing staffing needs within Credit Risk and loan administration.
  • Develop lending teams outside of the bank's primary office location, but within our lending markets.
  • Develop new business and or new lines of business for the Bank to expand into.
  • Collaborate directly with the head of Retail to deepen deposit relationships with existing lending clients and to develop new retail deposit relationships independent of a lending relationship
  • Generate senior management reports to analyze interest rate risk within the lending portfolio.
  • Receive satisfactory audit and regulatory ratings for the lending areas.
  • Ensure compliance with credit committee approvals.
  • Review and take corrective action regarding Non Performing Loans

Required Education, Skills, Experience

  • Minimum Experience: 15 Years
  • Strong underwriting and analytical analysis of Commercial Real Estate and C&I Lending
  • Must have held management positions for at least 5 years with proven ability to recruit lead and motivate lending professionals.
  • Ability to recognize new business opportunities and implement new products within the MCB risk framework.
  • Ability to recognize and implement cross selling opportunities between groups.

Senior Commercial Lender: Manhattan, Long Island and Brooklyn

Essential Functions

  • Source and develop a book if high quality C&I borrowing relationships; including but not limited to, Lines of Credit, Terms Loans, Owner Occupied Real Estate Mortgages.
  • Targeting relationships with borrowing from $3 million to $15 million.
  • Manage sourced credit portfolio, monitor credit quality and integrity.
  • Adhere to the Bank’s credit policies, guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.

Required Education, Skills, Experience

  • Proven Top Performer as a Commercial Lender;
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Commercial Lending; new business development, deal structuring, underwriting, and portfolio management.
  • Prior experience excelling working with traditional middle market C&I companies as a commercial lender and new business development officer.
  • Must have ability to understand and interpret financial statements, provide sound credit guidance regarding sourced business.
  • Ability to solicit new business, advise prospects and customers of product lines, determine credit worthiness, and prepare detailed proposals.
  • BS or BA degree desired.

Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer: Manhattan, Long Island and Brooklyn

Essential Functions

  • Source and develop new CRE borrowing relationships, with an average deal size from $2 million to $10 million;
  • Manage sourced credit portfolio, maintain close customer contact.
  • Develop full banking relationships with customers: cross-sell other Bank products;
  • Monitor credit quality and data integrity;

  • Minimum 10 years of solid experience in new business development, deal structuring, underwriting, and portfolio management;

  • Aptitude for soliciting new business; advise prospects and customers of product lines, determine credit worthiness, and prepare detailed proposals for loan review;

Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager

Essential Functions

Client Performance Management

  • Oversee documentation and ongoing monitoring of asset and client performance;
  • Actively manage portfolio to maximize return and credit quality;
  • Prepare/oversee preparation of concise, well reasoned credit correspondence;
  • Obtain credit concurrence as client advocate;
  • Responsible for monitoring covenants of clients within assigned portfolio to identify deteriorating credit conditions and compliance with loan agreement;
  • Ensure that documentation required for renewals/reviews are collected and delivered to credit on a timely basis.

Sales Support and Partnerships

  • Increase the Bank’s share of clients’ wallet by identifying cross-sell opportunities lending, deposit, cash management, etc;
  • Strive to obtain a comprehensive working knowledge of current book of commercial lending clients;
  • Maintain key ongoing contact with clients in conjunction with Commercial Lenders;
  • Initiate and engage in daily dialogue with Commercial Lenders regarding new client developments;
  • Work with product specialists as needed to support cross-sell opportunities;
  • Maintain and promote a customer first environment, to including satisfying and exceeding customer needs and expectations

Management of Workflow

  • Effectively triage work flow by aligning tasks with departmental goals and objectives;
  • Effectively manage numerous projects simultaneously.

Credit Assessment & Risk Management

  • Protect the Bank’s assets and maintain quality of portfolio by adhering to lending processes, policies & procedures, legal and ethical requirements and regulations, audit requirements, and established risk management guidelines. Ensure all Commercial Banking Business is in conformity with Bank Policies and other guidelines;
  • Exercise individually held unilateral discretionary limits, as well as any held prescribed approval discretionary limits (i.e.: overdrafts, credit applications), ensuring credit decisions and recommendations are in accordance with sound credit-granting principles and in compliance with the Bank’s policies and related procedures; completing analysis; confirming security valuations; completing and approving credit applications for authorizations under Lending Policy;
  • Adhere to Know Your Customer Rules and Bank Policies & Procedures for the prevention of loss due to fraud, counterfeiting, money laundering, or defalcation; identify and report suspicious and other reportable transactions or patterns of activity that are suspected to be related to money laundering;
  • Timely completion of all AML/KYC due diligence;
  • Process all credit requests, including requests for amendments and waivers, in coordination with the credit department. 

Required Education, Skills, and Experience

  • An undergraduate degree. Focal areas of finance, economics, or accounting;
  • 3 plus years of commercial banking or equivalent experience;
  • Experience in a client facing role;
  • Familiarity with loan and other contractual documentation highly desirable;
  • Persistent and willing to follow through to resolve and document issues appropriately and in a manner in keeping with sound risk management practices;
  • In-depth understanding of Commercial Products, Commercial Lending Process, Commercial Lending Directives, all supporting processes and technology;
  • Working knowledge and ability to execute Risk Management practices and strategies;
  • Proven, credit analysis experience/ understanding; (preferred);

Relationship Manager: Manhattan 

Essential Functions

  • Acquires new business by proactively developing new business relationships through sales calls on high potential prospects and business banking customers to sell and service banking needs to include deposits, and treasury service products.
  • Generates new business leads resulting in deposits, account acquisition, and lending referrals.
  • Identifies and pursue potential new clients by increasing bank’s visibility through event marketing and community involvement, and capitalize on networking opportunities.
  • Builds and deepens relationships by providing high level of customer satisfaction; understanding their businesses and analyze product and service growth opportunities and ensure profitability of portfolio.
  • Utilizes referral networks to independently identify and pursues potential new clients while looking for ways to cultivate long-term relationships.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience

  • 2+ years sales and services experience preferably in a retail environment
  • Strong decision making abilities and problem solving skills
  • Proven sales ability; Evidence a proven sales track record with current or recent employer

Teller: Boro Park Banking Center

Essential Functions

  • Delivers excellent customer service which meets and exceeds the customer's expectations
  • Recognizes sales opportunities and cross-sells bank products

  • Maintains and balances cash drawer daily
  • Processes all monetary transactions: deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, etc. efficiently and accurately while following all cash and check guidelines
